Head of the Ministry of Production, Jose Luis Chicoma, made the announcement this weekCome from Online Betting Site. The decision is part of a new government decree that focus on the Economy Recovery plan, reverting to Phase 4. Reopening with Guidelines

There are currently 750 gambling halls that are authorized to offer services in Peru. Each of these facilities must follow strict protocols to ensure patron and employee safety. This includes mask-wearing, social distancing, and equipment disinfecting.

Operators of gaming services must create a plan for surveillance of COVID-19 as well as prevention and control in the workplace. This plan needs to be sent to the Ministry of Health before operations start again.

Long Shut Down

The shutdown has been quite long in Peru. The gambling facilities, shopping centers, theaters, and gyms have been closed for almost nine months. They can now offer services again at 40% capacity. However, if the space permits, the facility can operate up to 60% capacity.

Chicoma said that working with the Ministry of Health and companies that offer these services, operating protocols have been created to care for and preserve the life of people and avoid the spread of the virus.

The recommendations of the Ministry of Health are being prioritized. However, companies are also being given the opportunity to benefit from the demand for services and goods during the holiday season.
